Answers to your questions

Is Show Dub Strength a good fit for me?

  • NO if… You want fast results without putting in work on a consistent basis.

  • NO if… You complain about price and won’t make an investment in yourself.

  • NO if… You just want workouts that leave you feeling beat up and smashed.

  • NO if… Your workout “only counts” if you wear a fitness tracker and if you hit certain numbers.

  • NO if… You want to constantly “change it up” and do circus tricks you saw on instagram.

  • YES if…You are willing to show up consistently and put the work in.

  • YES if… You are willing to invest in yourself and your training.

  • YES if… You want workouts that leave you feeling better than before you started them.

  • YES if… You trust each workout is part of the never ending process and some days will call for more JUICE than others.

  • YES if… You are willing to stick to the script and perform real exercises that get you stronger, moving better, and are the right variation for you.

How much JUICE (intensity) should I bring to each session?

  • Most of the time...keep your juice at a 6.9-7 out of 10, use a weight where you could still knock out 2-3 kosher reps if you were asked to.

  • On the days you feel like a rockstar the day AFTER partying all night… warm-up, show up, do what you can, how you can, and check the box.

  • On the days you feel like a rockstar WHILE partying... bring that extra juice 8-9 out of 10, use a weight where you have to fight for those last 2 reps.

About Wes

unnamed.jpeg

His government name is Wesley Showalter but most refer to him as Wes, Show-Dub, Cat Whisperer, or The Sheriff. Wes started training with a coach at age 12 in an attempt to make up for a lack of natural athleticism and improve his body composition. Fascinated by the training process and the results they yielded kept Wes coming back to the gym on a regular basis. As a teenager, the weight room became a sanctuary for Wes through some difficult times by relieving stress with the added bonus of being around others that wanted to become stronger humans. Participating in wrestling and rugby through high school led to Wes playing D1 rugby at Penn State University while earning his B.S in Kinesiology with an emphasis in fitness studies. Using a combination of scientific training principles and coaching experience, Wes meets people where they are and helps them get where they want to be in an effort to increase their quality of life. Over the past decade-plus, Wes has had success coaching in multiple training environments; big box to boutique, real-life to online, groups to one-on-ones. For the past four years Wes has primarily coached women 30 and up who want to get stronger, move better, and feel more confident in the gym. OWes and his wife Nancy have lived in multiple cities from central PA to Chicago to Philadelphia as she is currently a fifth-year orthopedic surgery resident who will be specializing in orthopedic pediatric surgery. Outside of coaching and spending time with Nancy Wes has a passion for training Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has been in love with it since 2017. Wes and Nancy have three cats named Kitty, Grizzly, and Cheeto, but aside from his family and jiu-jitsu Wes’s favorite things all rhyme: good booze, cool shoes, and fun tattoos!
